7 VFNH singles of the 1c multicoloured Flying Squirrel from the 1987-1991 Mammal & Architecture Issue. Various Slater and coated papers papers, perf. 13.1 x 13.6 and perf. 13.1 x 12.7, different shades. Includes five different Slater paper printings, with the original perf. 13.1 x 13.6, which differ both in terms of the prominence of the leaves at the top, and the colour of the grey band at the top of the design. There is one Coated Papers paper printing and one example of the scarce perf change 13.1 x 12.7. Of the five Slater paper printings we have: (1) NF/DF-fl bluish white with sparse LF flecks, (2) NF/DF-fl bluish white, (3) NF/DF-fl bluish white with more prominent falling leaves and (4 & 5) NF/DF grey with both prominent leaves at top of design and less obvious leaves. The Coated Papers printing has light vertical ribbing on the paper, and the perf 13.1 x 12.7 is on NF/DF greyish white paper with a noticeably lighter grey band at the top of the design.
