4 VF CAPEX '87 promotional cards & canadian philatelist capex edition of the multicoloured from the 1987 . Consists of two BABN promotional cards showing four engravings of the half cent large Queen, one on a blue background, and one on a dark red background, with background notes on the back. These are listed in Unitrade on page 712, as part of a set of 6 cards, and valued at $50 for a set. So 2 of the 6 should be worth $15 or so. Then there is a USPS Joint Canada card that shows the 17c Marmot stamp from 1981 and an engraved reproduction of the 30c Buffalo definitive from the 1922 issue. The card is then franked with a 22c box turtle from the state wildlife series of 50 stamps. Lastly there is a full copy of the Canadian Philatelist from May-June 1987, which is a time capsule, showing how the hobby in Canada has changed. it is replete with ads from long deceased major dealers such as Kasimir Bileski, George Wegg, J.N Sissons and many more. There is an interesting article about Fred Jarett, widely regarded as one of the fathers of Canadian philately. This was the CAPEX edition of the magazine.
