BK45 is the first of the booklets that appeared for the Karsh Issue. It was issued only in English and Bilingual versions. The English version was issued in a quantity of 2,502,000 and this quantity is distributed among two front cover types and four back cover types, for a total of 8 different types. The bilingual version was issued in a quantity of just 700,275 booklets. These were distributed among two front cover and two back cover types. On this booklet we have found two constant varieties: one is a dot to the left of "Canada". The other is a dot in the upper left corner of the front cover. Die joins exist on both front and back covers of these booklets. These joins typically show the dot pattern abruptly ending and then resuming, but with the dots running in a different direction. Usually, these joins are not visible, when the booklet covers are cut as intended. But, due to inexactitude in the cutting of booklets, it is possible to find these joins on either side of a cover or at the top and bottom.
BK46 was the second booklet to be issued. Again, it was issued in English and Bilingual versions. The quantities issued of this booklet are far, far lower than the catalogue value would suggest, with only 200,000 English booklets and 50,000 Bilingual booklets. Again, the English booklets can be found in up to 8 different front and back cover combinations, while the bilingual booklets can be found in 4 different types.
