Lot 377 United States Of America #64 3c Pink George Washington, 1861-1869 Civil War Issue, A Good Used Single The Scarce Shade, With Clear Bluish Undertone, Compare To Lot 376

A fine used single of the 3c pink George Washington from the 1861-1869 Civil War Issue the scarce shade, with clear bluish undertone, compare to lots 416 to 423. Although this does not have a certificate, we would note that the shade is completely free of any brownish, rose or red tone. It has the requisite bluish undertone of the pink shade, as described on Swedish Tiger's website. If you compare it to lot 376, you will see that it is clearly pink. There is a corner crease at lower left, which lowers the grade to good.

2016 Scott Specialized values this at $85. The stamp offered here grades 50 as follows:

Centering/Margins: 30/60

Paper Freshness: 2/5

Colour: 5/5

Impression: 5/5

Absence of Visible Paper Flaws: 5/5

Perforations: 8/10

Cancellation: 5/10

Adjustment for mentioned faults: -10 points.
