A VFNH LR plate block of the 4c vermilion King George VI from the 1949-1952 Postes-Postage Issue rare plate 6 - first one we have ever offered!. This is an extraordinarily scarce plate, because plate 6 was used for the previous carmine shade, and the last plate used for the carmine stamp was 11. So this was a plate that was used temporarily, possibly during a shortage of the new 4c vermilion stamps. This is the first time I have seen one, let alone offered one for sale.
