A VFNH single of the 45c multicoloured Pronghorn from the 1987-1991 Mammal & Architecture Issue. Significant upward shift of olive green. The fact that any shifts exist on this issue at all is curious, since the stamps were only printed by lithography, and one would expect the designs to print with just a single pass through the press. That, would suggest that no shifts should exist. The fact that they do exist reveals that they must have been printed in more than one pass through the press. This being said, they are less common than one might expect. On this example, a significant amount of the olive green vegetation appears inside the whites of the letters of "Canada 45".
Unitrade does not list this variety, but we estimate the value at $10. The stamp offered here grades 84 as follows:
Centering/Margins: 54/70
Paper Freshness: 5/5
Colour: 5/5
Impression: 5/5
Absence of Visible Paper Flaws: 5/5
Perforations: 10/10
