The stamps of this issue are found printed on both horizontal and vertical wove papers. However, the scarcity of each type varies widely by value. The most common paper for all values other than the 5c is vertical wove, whereas on the 5c nearly all examples I have seen are on horizontal wove. The 1/2c, 2c, 10c, 8c and 3c are found about 20% of the time on horizontal wove paper, while the 6c, and 1c very seldom are. I have not yet seen any examples of the 7c, 8c or 20c on horizontal wove paper. The standard paper is white and of a somewhat coarse texture, with clear mesh. There is a cream paper, that is thicker, with very fine mesh, that I have so far only found on the 1c, and 2c purple, which is very scarce. Both are listed in Unitrade, but until recently the 1c was not listed.
