In addition to the three constant varieties listed in Unitrade, we have discovered several additional minor and major varieties, many of which are constant. These include (1) Large diagonal mark into the vignette under the "C" of Cartier; (2) a clear diagonal line joining the small beaded rope that projects horizontally from the main rope, to the second rope and pulley that is closest to the right frame; (3) A very small diagonal mark inside the centre of the upper left scroll; (4) A large vertical hairline scratch running from just to the right of "cartier" through Cartier's extended arm to the main rope; (5) A tiny vertical mark cutting off the end of the middle arm of the "E" in "Cartier"; (6) deformed ornament in the upper right scroll; (7) Doubling of the final "R" in "Cartier; (8) Diagonal line crossing the inner framelines above second "A" of "Canada"; (9) Damaged first "A" in "Canada"; (10) cracked "E" of "Cent" & damaged "C" of Cartier; (11) Split "R" In "Cartier"; (12) Dot in lower right margin; (13) Curly hairline in left margin & hairline through "E" of "Cartier"; (and 14) Blob inside "T" of "Cartier". The shade is generally deep dull blue, and deep blue. Gum types vary from yellowish semi-gloss to the more common light cream gum with satin sheen.
