This and the Henri Bourassa stamp are the first commemorative issues to appear, which are generally always on HB or HF paper. Unitrade lists it as HF paper, but I think it is really a less bright version of HB like HB10 or HB11, remembering that the fluorescence scale ranged from 0-12. Brighter and less bright versions of the McCrae stamp can be found. I have done my best to capture these differences by taking pictures with my camera under UV light, but the differences can be harder to see than in real life. That should be borne in mind if you are looking at the scans and cannot tell the difference between them.
