This issue introduces the chalk-surfaced paper that Ashton Potter would use in various forms to print stamps throughout the early to mid 1970's.The World Health Day issue uses an uncoated paper that is either non-fluorescent and horizontally ribbed, or is fluorescent and smooth, while being crisp also. The ribbed non-fluorescent version is not seen again, but the smooth, fluorescent paper was used for a small portion of the 1973 Algonkian issue, depicting the Algonkian couple and the thunderbird. Other than that, this paper too is very short-lived.
