Canada #MR2a 2c Rose Carmine King George V, 1915-1918 Admiral War Tax Issue, A VF Example With Re-Distributed OG And Jumbo Margins

A well-centered and VF example of the 2c rose carmine war tax stamp with retouched frame line in the upper right corner. Jumbo sized margins for the stamp. The gum on the stamp appears at first to be never hinged, however it is redistributed original gum in our opinion. This stamp came from a larger block that we broke up and because we didn't see any residual gum in the perforation holes of the block, and because the perforations of the outside stamps feel soft to the touch we concluded that it is not regummed, but rather the original gum has been expertly redistributed across the block to make all the stamps appear as if they were NH. consequently we value them as hinged singles. 2023 Unitrade catalog value is $60.
