Lot 142 Canada #1673ii, 1680iivar 1c, 25c Bookbinding & Leatherworking, 1999-2007 Traditional Trades Definitives, 2 VFNH Top Inscription Blocks Of 20 2004 CBN Reprints With Upright Barcode in Imperforate Selvedge, 25c With Repellex Error

2 VFNH top inscription blocks of 20 of the 1c, 25c multicoloured Bookbinding & Leatherworking from the 1999-2007 Traditional Trades Definitives 2004 CBN reprints with upright barcode in imperforate selvedge, 25c with what appears to be a repellex error. This is the 2004 CBN reprint with upright bar code in imperforate top selvedge. The 25c shows an interesting colour transition, which may be a repellex error involving the magenta. If you look at the first 8 stamps in the block, the leather appears orangy and the flesh of the hands appears warm and healthy, with a pink undertone, As you move rightward, the colour becomes more and more yellowish, until, but the last half of the block, both colours are yellow, with the handa appearing jaundiced. Judging from other strips I have seen, it would appear that the yellowish colour is the normal colour for the 2004 reprint.

Unitrade values this at $18 for the normal blocks. Our estimate of the value for the colour variety is $75. The blocks offered here grade 75 as follows:
