A group of 6 postcards From Winnipeg, Manitoba, showing various views and buildings ,from the 1910's, 1940's and 1960's. Three cards from the 1910's are all in colour and depict the entrance to the Union Depot, the pergola and lily pond, Assiniboine Park and the Empire Hotel and Union Station (this card with a corner crease at UR). The hotel was purchased by the Great West Life assurance company and was demolished in 1981, after a feasability study concluded that it would be too costly to rennovate. A 1942 card depicts the business centre (this card has some pencil scribbles on it, which I partially erased and it appears that the rest will come off without damaging the card. The last two cards from the 1960's show the Administration building of the Manitoba telephone system, and the post office building, which opened in 1958. Overall the cards are VG and VF. Net estimated value for the group is $4.
