A group of 7 postcards From 1930's, 1950's and 1960's, showing various views and buildings ,from the 1910's-1920's and 1950's-1960's. The cards depict a number of views and buildings in Montreal. Two from the 1960's show the same shot taken from Mount Royal, with one taken at night. Another is of Ruby Foo's Chinese restaurant in 1958. This restaurant became one of the top spots in the city and remained in business as a restaurant until 1988. However, a hotel on the site opened in 1962, underwent a redevelopment, and is a large luxury hotel that is operating today. There is a nice shot of the CIBC building in Dominion Square, taken in the 1960's, which is apparent from the appearance of the cars and the 4c postage rate shown on the card. The tower was opened in 1964, and the 4c postage rate on postcards ended in 1968, so the card is from the period in between those dates. Another card from the 1910's is a shot of the older CIBC bank. Overall the cards are VF. Net estimated value for the group is $6.
