2 VFNH singles of the 6c multicolured White Throated Sparrow from the 1969 Birds Issue with yellow almost completely missing & branches rightward, with normal for comparison. Darnell lists the white head variety on the top sparrow, but this usually results from a leftward shift of the yellow, which can usually be very clearly seen in the beaks but here only the very slightest trace of yellow is visible and the branches have been shifted to the right, revealing the red brown backgrownd colour below.

Our estimated value is $20. The stamps offered here grades 80 as follows:

Centering/Margins: 50/70

Paper Freshness: 5/5

Colour: 5/5

Impression: 5/5

Absence of Visible Paper Flaws: 5/5

Perforations: 10/10

The paper used for these stampos is very similar to that found on the John McCrae issue. It is generally HB12 or HB, with the occasional HF paper. I have done my best to capture these differences by taking pictures with my camera under UV light, but the differences can be harder to see than in real life. That should be borne in mind if you are looking at the scans and cannot tell the difference between them.
