This special delivery issue, like the previous issue stradles two definitive sets. It first appears in the second half of the life of the Admiral issue, and it is finally replaced completely by the henna brown Arch Leaf design in 1930. Unitrade lists only two shades, one for each printing, in carmine and scarlet. This is confusing though, because there are a number of shades in both printings that range from scarlet to deep carmine lake, though it is true that the paler, scarlet shades are generally associated with the wet printings, while the very deep carmine lake shades are usually always dry printings. There are no listed varieties on this stamp, through you will see from the listings that I have indeed, found a few.
