3 G&F Used singles from the 1867-1881 Queen Victoria Emergency Printings 1d green line perf mixed 12 & 12 1/2, 9d red brown on rose & 1 /2d on 1d green perf 12. 1d is scarce mixed perf. The surcharge has a shallow thin (-10 pts). The 1d bell design is perf exactly 12 1/2 on the sides, but the top and bottom are 12 1/2 up to half way across, when the gauge switches to 12. This indicates that the rows were perforated by the 12 1/2 machine, up to 1/2 way, turned and finished off on another machine. The 1d mixed perf is a scarce, unlisted variety that resulted from the use of both the line 12 1/2 & older line 12 machines.
