A fine/very fine used cover of the from the, 1934 redirected 8c domestic airmail book cadillac hotel cover, short lived airmail rate in effect for just under 2 years from July 6 1932 to June 30 1934.

Franked with A #634 and two #720 to make up the rate (1 3c has a damaged LL corner). Addressed to the book Cadillac Hotel and marked with their slogan receiving cancel on the back, it was re-addressed in red pencil crayon to Long Island, NY. Contains the full original letter. The Book Cadillac hotel was opened in 1924 and at the time was the tallest hotel in the world. It was sent from NY on June 12, and the letter was canceleld again in Detroit.
