A fine used single of the 3d brown from the 1858-1859 Pence Issue, perf 11.75, fine cancelled example of this scarce pence issue with moderate, face-free cancellation.
The perfs at left appear sharp, but gauge exactly 11.75 - same as all others. I believe that the samp was partially separated from its neighbors using scissors, which was commonly done at this time.
