A very fine used single of the $1 gray black from the 1938 Pictorial Issue, a well centered lightly cancelled example showing the full 'shop window" effect of uv light on the color.
The color has completely faded and changed from clear dull violet to an almost gray black color. I am selling this purely as a novelty item to show the effect of fading on the color.
