Lot 87 Australia - Victoria SG#11b (SC# 4a) 3d Pale Greenish Blue , 1850-1853 Queen Victoria Half-Length Issue, A Good Unused Single, 3rd State Of The Die, Presentable & Rare Unused Example, Close To Full Margins On All Sides.

A good unused single of the 3d pale greenish blue from the 1850-1853 Queen Victoria Half-Length Issue, 3rd state of the die, presentable & rare unused example, close to full margins on all sides.

There is a small piece that has come out of the left margin and has been re-attached, and there are multiple gum soaks that have stained the stamp. I dare not soak it because I don't want to lose the reattached piece.

Gibbons values this at £4250, so we estimate it at $525. The stamp offered here grades 45 as follows:

Centering/Margins: 45/80

Paper Freshness: 5/5

Colour: 5/5

Impression: 5/5

Absence of Visible Paper Flaws: 5/5
