Lot 269 Nigeria #16, 16b 1d Rose Red & Deep Red 1921-1932 King George V Imperium Keyplate Issue, Usage On Registered Montgomery Ward Covers

Two Montgomery ward return envelopes, sent from Agege on December 12, 1924, and the other was sent from Enugu on February 16, 1926. The earlier Agege cover is franked with two strips of 3 die 1 rose red stamps, while the other is franked with six singles (two damaged) of the 1d die 2 red stamps. The stamps are tied by Proud type D4 Agege cancels and type R1 Enugu registry cancels. The Enugu cover has a proud type R2 Port Harcourt registry cancel on the back.

VF condition overall. The value of the cancels in Proud is 7 GBP. The destination for the cover is not of any premium value. The basic covers are is $10. The stamp value on cover is $6. So, my estimate of the value of these covers is $23.
