Lot 278 Nigeria #16b 1d Red 1921-1932 King George V Imperium Keyplate Issue, Usage On 3 Registered Envelopes To Chicago & Racine Wisconsin
Three registered envelopes to Chicago, and Racine Wisconsin, all printed in different shades of blue, and all uprated to 6d with three 1d red die 2 stamps. The first cover is sent from Epe on August 10, 1937, and the stamps are tied by Proud type R2 Epe registry cancels. The second cover is sent from Lagos on August 6, 1925 and the third cover is also sent from Lagos, but on June 22, 1932.
VF condition overall. The value of the cancels in Proud is 6 GBP. The destination for the covers is of no premium value, but the basic covers are $15. The stamp value on cover is $6. So, my estimate of the value of these covers is $27.
