Lot 277 Nigeria #16b, 20, 23 1d Red, 2d Chocolate, 3d Bright Blue 1921-1932 King George V Imperium Keyplate Issue, Usage On 2 Registered Envelopes To Chicago
Two registered envelopes to Chicago, both sent from Aba on April 1, 1932 and Lagos on April 26, 1934. The Aba cover has had the envelope uprated to 6d by affixing a single 3d bright blue, tied by Proud type R2 Aba registry cancel. The other cover is franked with one 1d red die 2 and one 2d chocolate die 2.
VF condition overall. The value of the cancels in Proud is 2 GBP. The destination for the cover is of no premium value, but the basic covers are $10. The stamp value on cover is $4. So, my estimate of the value of these covers is $16.
